Manage All of Your Pitches in One Place
Ever get lost in the black hole that is a PR pro’s inbox? Us too. Keep track of the status of every pitch you have ever sent to a journalist with Propel’s Story Funnel.
The Story Funnel is separated into seven columns, each representing a different pitch status, including: Unopened, Opened, Responded, Materials/Interview, Article Secured, Article Published, and Not Interested.
The columns are made up of “cards”. Each card represents a single pitch sent to a journalist. Within each card, view the name of the journalist, publication, pitching initiative, account name, and whoever sent the pitch.
You can also filter the funnel to only show pitches for a specific account, initiative, or user.
The first three columns will be updated automatically, so you can easily check who has opened or responded to your pitch without shuffling through thousands of emails. As for the last four columns of the story funnel, simply drag a card to update its status.
You can also update a pitch within your own Gmail or Outlook. If you head into an email sent with Propel, a sidebar will pop up with pitch details.
Let’s say you’ve corresponded with John Doe back and forth a few times and voila - you’ve secured an article! Simply click on the drop down and change the status of the pitch, and it will be automatically updated back in the Story Funnel.
It is easy to become overwhelmed by lists, pitches, articles, interviews, and emails galore. We have all been there. Propel’s Story Funnel provides a single space to manage all the moving parts of the PR process and make your workflow that much simpler.
